Jabra is coming out w/ a couple of vibrating bluetooth earpieces - BT250v and BT800; I haven't tried either, but I suppose if you were to wear them on your neck or pocket, you could feel it vibrating.
Sounds good...
Anyone with actual feedback ?!

I use the BT 800 headset, and have been doing so for about a month now with my 9300. It works like a charm! Excellent sound quality, good ear comfort (not as good as the old BT200 here, but good enough for normal wear) and excellent battery performance. Recommended!
I had once seen advertised on a website one of these little devices that vibrate when picking up a cellphone signal, basically the same as the flashing key rings.
I just can't remember which website I saw them on.
I've also been looking around for some kind of vibrating alert to add to my 9300 without success until now: I've just come across a vibrating watch.
While I wouldn't wear it as a watch (it looks pretty ugly) I'm sure it could be converted into a keyring or something like that.
I'll try and get hold of one.
I have been looking for one too. I just found two today:

can somebody comment on them?
Do they work at all? How are they powered?
They must power the vibrate motor from batteries. I'm pretty sure it could not be powered from the small amount of intercepted RF energy like those flashy-LED things that some people stick on their phones.
yes ofcourse it has an inbuilt small battery. we used to get many like this in india... from pen sizes to pager sizes. the only problem is that it works on 900/1800MHZ etc. & if ur in a train & the phone of the person sitting next to u rings...,ur thing will vibrate also.
this is very irritating...
imagine its vibrating all the way to your home in the BUS or TRAIN or walking down a crowded street... whats the use..
GO THE JABRA WAY.... thats the best !!!
Yes mates. i also have the same problem. i dont have the phone. my friend have it .actually i dont give a FCUk. about their S.H.I.T phones. as they are making all the phones and using the same software and same design. and they are just cheating peoples. its 10,000 times better to purchase a POcket pc phone than this FCuking Communicator. with useless screen dimension. but still people like nokia.
OH. I Willl FCUK their all models. with same screen. and no model no order. Crap releases and same softwares. Just they are cheeters. they just change the colour of the body and then release the new model by placing simply an (i) and crazy ignorant people purchase them.
Huh.
Very sad Nikia, you will die soon. i wish

I would like to disagree with you. I used both Nokia 9000il, 9290 and iPaq 3955, 5455 and after using nokia I just could not stand PocketPC. On any day I would trade two PPC for one Nokia communicator. I have two PPC collecting the dust, do you want them? I would be glad to traid them in on Nokia 9300.

I totally agree with N242, i would never go back to WM/PPC now. i love my 9500 & after going thru the P910i, O2 XDA II ,TREO 600 & many others, i am just very very happy with my 9500. nothing beats it.
P.S. -> i would love to get my hands on a Nokia 9000/9000il. if anyone has one for sale, please do let me know.

I do have Nokia 9000il a bit bitten up from outside, but in working condition.
i'd never trust microsoft on my phone. SYMBIAN FOR LIFE.

I quite agree. RUK seems offensive and also clearly rather stupid. Symbian and Communicator (9210i and 9500) are quite superb and run rings around anything else. Having migrated from Psion since about 1989 thru one Nokia product to another, there is nothing yet to challenge them at all.
If the 9500 could be made with a touch screen and the missing Psion Database, it would be hard to beat it. In the absence of that Database component, perhaps Nokia could provide a Utility to import seamlessly and problem free Psion Data files. Neither YData nor Smallbase nor Power Data really does this properly, and it is a major frustration.
Perhaps touchscreen will be on the next model?

I converted my psion Data files with an ordinary text editor (UltraEdit) by first exporting the Psion datafile to Psion textfile, then comparing it with Smallbase file, then with UltraEdit's Replace function changed the Psion textfile structure so that Smallbase could read it. Undeniably quite unpleasant, but only one time job.
