I cannot install any apps (sis) or jar files. The installer header appears at the top of the screen then the phone will revert back to whatever menu Im in. I though it was a problem with opera downloads, but using the built in browser causes the same problem. Anyone else had this?

U probably has corrupted installation dir or log...
Chk that out, try to restore yr ini files with 7780 or feel free to reach me at bottom link for more info...

i just posted a thread about this last week.i have exactly the same problem with my nokia 6600.it started when i got my new 128mb mmc and happens only with .jar files.i dont know what it is and nobodys replied to it.
I still have my existing MMC card with spare storage space. I have just tried a sis file and jar file from my own wap site that works fine?!? I think it may be to do with incorrect mime-type files on the download server?
I got the same problem.
I installed Opera and started to get problems with my installer. Now I cannot install anything on my MMC only in the phone. also the app installer (the desktop suite) cannot "see" what has been installed in the phone.
If I use Fexplorer there are areas of the card that seem to be "RED"??? all the screen goes red when I go into the nokia folder in the card.
Any ideas????
