Help with PRETEC MMC 1Gb — Nokia 9300 and 9500 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hi, guys.

Before buying my 9500, I had bought a MMC 1 Gb from PRETEC (or something similar). I thought it was very good.

The question:

Today for the first time I put the MMC in 9500 and all was without problems, MMC was recognizing and reading on the 9500.
Then I thought: " I am going to format it, as they say in many forums".

And I formartted it.

After half an hour of formatting, when it was taking 97 %, there went out a warning that say: "system: not valid Request " or something like that.

I've tried to format it more times, but always the same thing was happening: on having come to 96-98 % of the formatting, it was stopping. Now It was not recognizing the MMC.

Any idea, please??

Have you tried reformating it on a PC in a card reader, or any other device that can read it. I think the main reason for advice for formating is not to leave 92x0 applications on it that obviously won't work on the 9500.

Hi!

I also have a Pretec MMC 1gb.... had the same problems. My solution was:

Put in in an Pocket PC (ipaq, ...) and format it.
Then it worked.
