Someone having nokia 7610 plz tell me whts the latest firmware version available and if someone has upgraded then plz tell me to which versio have u upgraded as i am buying a 7610 so i want the latest version to be pre-loaded.

Plz tell me the version number and the date

I recently had mine updated to the newset version available, my version is now

v 4.0437.4
15-09-04
RH-51

it has all he Fixes, for High volume ringtones and vibrate and also the quick selection menu on the middle dial pad, hope this helps

I guess u don't. You leave it at your closest Nokia servicecenter and they'll do it for you without charge (atleast when not older than 12 months which i guess no 7610s are).

I just updated to 4.0441.
First impression: Is considerable quicker than the previous firmware.

In addition i had some bluetooth issues (i.e. having bt requests out of nowhere). Hope now is fixed

I got my Nokia 7610 from a dealer in L.A. who got it from Singapore. It's Firmware version was 4.0421. When I downloaded the latest Nokia LIfeBlog software, it said I needed a firmware upgrade. I called Nokia USa support and they said for me to send it to their service center. I sent it and a week later, I got it back with a note saying "please do not send us Nokia cell phones bought from other countries"! So much for JD Powers Number One-rated support!

I found a place here in L.A. (Global Mobility) that can upgrade it to 4.0437.4.

Anyone in Simgapore know if this version is the very latest?

I got the phone upgraded to 4.0437 by Global Mobility (global-mob.com) in L.A. for free. The owner insisted that I should pay only when he gets the 4.0441 (what a nice guy!). The upgrade worked but I got a System Error every time the phone restarted. Apparently the language pack was not compatible with the Asian-version 7610.

So no SMS for about a week until I brought it back, and he got the 4.0441 installed after much labour--really worth much more than what he charged for it! No thanks to Nokia-USA, I now have a phone that can install the latest LifeBlog software. Very much recommended. Probably the late time I will need an upgrade as this phone is starting to show its age.

Now if only Nokia can focus its efforts on achieving 30-frames-per-second video recording, and not join the megapixel wars. If Sony migrates its digi-cam expertise into its phones, it will be time for me to leave the Nokia fold after more than five years as a happy Nokia evangelist.

wher did you get your upgrade from? i got an 7610, and i wold like to upgrade it. would you plese help me.. i mean, hvere did you get your upgrade from.?
