Is there only 1 emulator for series 60 applications. i made an application and want to know if i test my application on the emulaor given in sdk will that emulator work for all nokia series 60 applications :icon4:
Is there ony one emulator for series 60?
Only one emulator per Series 60 version/release (well, there are different versions for different Windows based compilers, too; Microsoft C++, CodeWarrior).
Note, however, that the emulator is not a emulating actual device hardware, but simulates the software environment and behaviour of a particular Series 60 release and corresponding Symbian OS version.
In other words, even if an app works perfectly on the emulator, it is not guarantee that it will on an actual device (or at least not all of them based on the same release/version).
What adds to the complexity is the differences in device firmware versions and language variants.
