Remove the sound when I boot or close the phone

I have a problem on my sendo X, when I start or close it, il displays an animation (french SFR for me) with a little music but the volume is very HIGH and verrrrrryyyyy HIGH!!!!

when I come home by night, I must stop my phone outside to not to wake up my family.
I didn't find how to pump down the volume of this music, to substitute it or to delete it.

Does anyone know a tip to solve my problem and I 'd like to know if this music is in the nokia phones and more particularly on the others symbian S60?

Today, the only tip I found is to turn the phone in no-sound mode before turning off it but it's boring to think that every time, and after that, when I restart it, it's in no-sound mode and sometimes I forget it's in this mode!

I always place my fingers firmly over the area of the speakers (on both sides of the phone). This way, the sound is hardly noticable if you press firmly. Not the best solution, but it does the trick fast and easy 😃

In the themes thread this was mentioned and some themes have different sounds and some have none at all. I don't know fully how they make the themes though.

Its true, you can "disable" the Startupsounds and Shutdownsounds with themes. But it is really tricky, since if you use the wrong format, the phone will crash!

Actually, don't try this because it will damage your ears. Another reason to sue sendo.

I learned that this crappy phone will damage your ears if you wear the supplied earphones during a shutdown or boot up. Sometimes the phone will shutdown on its own (common). And daily needs to be rebooted a number of times. I HATE Sendo. Hate is such a powerful word...

Haha!! *LOL*

It's true, your ears almost takes damage when you switch on/off your phone,
even without the earplugs plugged in..

I know it is possible that one person can be deaf, but that the whole development
team of Sendo seemes to be deaf is really ammusing..

This is also reflected in the sound level of the keypad tones. Even set at the
lowest level the volume is much higher than the loudest possible on a
Nokia 6600..

There has been 2 (3?) firmware releases since the phone has been released,
i.e there has been plenty of opportunities to remedy this from Sendo..

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY N-6680 ARRIVES!!! 😊

messus, me 2 is waiting for 6680, but i heard there is a problem with big memory cards, it would slow the phone down.

well, slower than the X isn't possible, so anything would be an improvement :icon14:

i'm going to try and sell my phone now...

No problems with "bigger" MMC since you'll need RS-DV-MMC and the biggest one you can buy is 256 MB! These are working fine.

And yes I own a 6680, got it T-Mobile "branded" last Thursday.
