pdf and chm reading

I'm using pdfplus for reading PDF files, but i find it a bit uncomfortable for use.
Therefore i'm wondering if there is another PDF reader? (i didn't find)

And didn't find anything for reading .chm files?! If someone knows something doing the job, please point it to me...

p.s. what formats the ebook readers are usualy supporting?

I don't think Microsoft has published the .chm file format, so it isn't easy for anyone to write an app that supports it (Microsoft has also been criticized for this, as they distribute standards, specifications & other documents in this format, which is only readable on Windows and not on, e.g., Linux).
