i have switched on the area information on the phone, it still is not showing the area information it only shows service provider name
7710 does not display area information
Does some other phone with the same SIM show something in the same location (that is, operators do not necessarily display anything for cell info)?
yes i have an Orange connection in Mumbai India and orange does provide local information about the area one is in
Cell Info is displayed ONLY when you are in the Telephone mode --> Keyboad is visible and you can see the operator name followed by the Area Info.. in the number entry area!! You need to select the Area information under settings / network settings in Telephone mode,
