Startup problem 6600

2 replies · 2,084 views · Started 09 March 2005

My 6600 doesn't start after I deleted all sent items. First the screen is white, NOKIA appears, fades and blinks before it disappears. It tries this a couple of times then shuts down.

Tried the standard tricks, start without MMC and even without the SIM, same thing.

Heard about the three key trick, but dont know it. Don't even know how to reset.

Help please.

(Don't let my username fool you, I have a 6260 too)

check out the sticky at the top of this forum on formatting

http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/17507/

if you use the three key method, it will sort you out by returning the phone to "fresh-out-the-box" but will leave your mmc alone, so any data on there will be in tact, but any apps etc will have to be reinstalled on the phone.

make sure you know your mmc password (if you have one) first tho, because the phone will forget the password after the format, and you wont be able to access your mmc.

Thanks Dansansome!!!

Hard but necessary I suppose.

Checked previous messages but not the stickys, sorry about that.
