I was wondering if you had a choice of what functions and features you could have on the next Sendo mobile, what would be on your wish list:

Bluetooth
WIFI
Clamshell
FM tuner
Downloadable themes
3G video calls
3G video streaming
Apple Mac connectivity
PC connectivity
Truetones (MP3 ringtones)
Battery duration
Camera resolution (1 Megapixel +)
Camera zoom
Video recording
MMS
Email client
WAP browsing
HTML browsing
Large keypad
Touchscreen
Display quality (TFT, 252K colour +)
Push to talk
Querty keyboard
Java MIDP support

Also, what would you be prepared to pay SIM free?

Post your replies and i will then forward onto Sendo.

It sounds like you're talking about the X2 / X3... 😉 The X2 you all know about - the X3, while not officially confirmed is more than likely to happen, although the specs are still highly secret.

Bluetooth

Yep, that exists in the X2

WIFI

Wiould be nice, wouldn't it. The Nokia 9500 does it, so maybe we'll see that in future S60 devices. Wouldn't count on it being in the X3 though.
dolphin74 wrote:
Clamshell

Don't see why not - Sendo have a fair amount of clamshell experience. Maybe not for the X3 though.

*cough* - maybe 😉

X3? - *IF* the rumours are true...

Yep, that's possible on X and X2

You'll need a newer version of S60 for that...maybe the X3 can do it...
dolphin74 wrote:
Battery duration

...it's ok for me at the moment - although we can all hope for better to come
dolphin74 wrote:
Camera resolution (1 Megapixel +)

Yep - X2 has a 1.3MP camera - maybe X3 will have 2MP
dolphin74 wrote:
Camera zoom

Yep - upto 4x on the X, 8x on the X2
dolphin74 wrote:

Yep, X and X2 can do it. Newer version of Opera would be nice though.
dolphin74 wrote:

The X has a full keyboard as an option. - oh, you mean keypad - maybe the X2's wil do what we need...
dolphin74 wrote:
Touchscreen

Series 90 is touch screen, so maybe, but I doubt it will be for X3. Otherwise UIQ would be needed, and Sendo arent' a UIQ licensee
dolphin74 wrote:

Maybe in X3 - X2 uses a 65K screen
dolphin74 wrote:
Push to talk

X3?
dolphin74 wrote:
Querty keyboard

It's an add-on for the X - maybe the X2 will have similar. Of course, you can use a BT one...
dolphin74 wrote:

Yep. Newer version would be nice 😊

For the phone above...I think you're talking thousands 😊 as it's pretty damned packed!

For the X3 - 300 seems reasonable. 😊 (we know X2 will be about 150)

how about a microphone that works???????mine is messed up 😞 i have tightened the screws , opened it up and cleaned the mic but still it doesnt work perfectlt WHICH REAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY SUCKS

my 2 p: i think the X2 will fulfill almost every of my requirements for a smartphone, especially at the given price. symbian OS9.1 would be nice of course, but i think i can do without it (as the apps i consider using will run just fine). btw: i could imagine that the developing community will need some time rewriting their applications for OS9, and the OS6.1 and OS7 stuff wont run on is (afaik).

also, i cant understand the desire for a clambshell design when everything one needs is packed into a nice, much thinner stick that wont break that easily (never used one though)
cheers
