Memory Card Corrupted....Please Help!

It's A Firmware bug. You have to update the firmware

the exact same thing has happened to me but that was the start. after that my whole phone broke and now no one (T mobile or nokia) want to take responsibilty

You guys r scaring me.. Only memory card seems to be damaged, not the whole phone..😞

I tried formatting with Card Reader, but I receieved the error "Windows is unable to format the drive".. tried another Card Reader which is builtin at Compaq Laptop..but got the same error.. so it seems, there is no firmware problem.. memory card seems to be damaged....is there any way to recover mmc? please help me out !! :frown:

No: i had the same problem and u must bring it to the nokia center or where you bought it and they'll change it

I would have changed my MMC already, if I would have that choice.. I heard, Nokia has removed after sell service support from India.. God knows why!!.. But it seem to be true, bcuz I see Nokia Care Centers no more open in my city....so I am helpless customer..
yesterday I had promotion in the error I was getting.. Before, whenever I tried to format MMC through mobile phone, it used to HUNG at the last moment....... But today, when I tried formatting MMC, I got message "Formatting complete".. then next "Enter Label for MMC".. when I entered some label for MMC.. I got another error "Error occured. Operation cancelled..".......and again same error "memory card corrupted".....i think, I will have to give up that MMC ...n' get another one.. seems nobody has solution for it.. !!

I Think it's better to update the firmware before using a new card to avoid the same problem

Guess what.. finally, i managed to get replacement for my damaged new card at Nokia Center.. I have been told false, that nokia care centers r closed at pune, by people.. but i searched on internet and got the address.. after 2-3 rounds at care center.. i got the replacement at free of cost.. Hurry!! :icon14:

Grrr, It's a Month i'm waiting my replacement card.... Fortunatly a friend lent me his 7610 card....

do you mean, u're using ur friend's 7610 MMC on ur 6630.. how could it be possible!!.. u must be kidding..

Nah, the cards supplied in the 7610/6670 retail package are dual-voltage.

My friend card worked well with my phone but i used it only after i upgraded my phone's Firmware...

what firmware are you on?

4.35 or something similar
