Greeting guys
I REALLY need some help here. whenever i try to open Hotmail website i got the 'Java disabled warning' eventhough i never turn it off and also when i go to Yahoo website i got a warn about 'Cookies disabled' eventhough i never disabled them..
I did format my phone but it seems it doesn't affect at all. Even my Agile is unable to connect, not sure what's faulty but i guess may be there's some files which are corrupted. Probably in the Opera folders.. :frown:
Don't know what to tell you...I just tried checking my hotmail account and it seems to work ok. I also have a bit of a problem w/ agilemessenger - it does not initiate a GPRS connection by itself. A workaround is to run the web browser first, and while that is still running (and the GPRS connection has been made) you can log in w/ agilemessenger.
edit
Ops, spoke too fast - although I can log in and see the main hotmail mail page, I can't actually open the individual messages. Browser just indicates complete, but does not show the e-mail.
I need some favour to any of you 'Good Guys' out there. I think i might know the solution but neeed some help. In the root directory of communicator there are the 'System>Apps>Opera' and also 'System>Data>Opera'
If it is possible can you pleeeaasseee email me the files in these two folder, i mean the 'Opera' folders at these both directories. I would like to copy them with mine and see the outcome, i'm just suspecting that the file in my folders are corrupted.
I have no bad intention in this, just trying to fix the problem. By the way i'm using the always on EDGE and GPRS network.
If you have formatted the phone, then the files cant be corrupt.
That's how it should be. But it isn't!! i have test it. I'm not sure what the format do exactly.. i think it just formatting the 80mb built in drive not the os.
If you don't believe me then make a backup first, later move some file inside the 'opera' folder to the memory card or etc, do the format and you'll see (at least in my case) that the format does not restore back the opera folder to the default factory standard as the missing file (the one that has been moved) is not restored back from the 'rom drive' (i'm not sure where's the rom drive but probably in 'z'😉
Pardonly me if i'm too hard on this guys i'm just frustrated with my 9500 web browser (which i belief is corrupted/damage/etc) and wishing you gave a good weekend..
Maybe you have a weird firmware version. Try upgrading to the latest. When you format, it restores everything, Maybe you are not actually formatting. I know it might be a silly question but Do you actually know how to do a Full format?

It is well known that the Opera browser has got problems with Hotmail. Microsoft is not exactly cooperating with Opera software in this matter. I thik it is not the installation in itself that is corrupeted, but rather that it is Opera that will not work proparly with Hotmail.
