Anyone out there havin problems maintaining connection to their nokia bluetooth headsets? Lemme know if anyone got any solutions!!!
6630 headset problems
pls elaborate
i got the moto hs805 which use AAA battery and i had problems in the beginning, it wouldnt connect...but thats cause i connecting thru the phone...now it always connect thru the headsets....i recommend it
I have a Nokia HS-4W bluetooth headset which was recommended for my Nokia 6630 mobile phone. It connects to my headset fine, but after approximately 10 minutes of usage the headset cuts off and connection fails.
I thought the headset was faulty so I sent it back and had it replaced. The problem continued, so then I sent the Nokia 6630 and had that replaced as well....the problem continued!!!
I then took the Nokia 6630 to have a software upgrade which was the only solution Nokia service centres could come up with...and guess wot, the problem is still there!!!
Is anyone else out there with a Nokia 6630 experiencing similar types of problems with their bluetooth headsets. Please let me know if you have any solutions. Would really really appreciate it!!!

I can't get my Jabra bt250v head set to connect to my Nokia 6630. It connects to a Nokia 6600 and 7610 perfectly well. I spoke to Jabra and they confirmed that it is compatible with the Nokia 6630 and have spoken to customers who have it working.
I have tried the headset on two 6630's; a 2.39.151 build and a 3.45.113 build, both didn't work. I am going to get the firmware upgraded to the latest, which I think is 4.03 and try that.
Can anyone help me? Does anyone have any other ideas?
cheers
John
well john, let me tell you that the nokia hs-4w headset works terribly especially with a nokia 6630 and nokia 6680. well i had an experience with this headset when i had my 6630. the connection often fails between the bt device and the phone. i approached my nokia dealer who first insisted that it was a problem with my phone. but then i tried my girlfriend's headset, the jabra bt800 and it is flawless as far as connection quality and voice clarity and loudness is concerned. so i gave away the hs-4w headset and bought the jabra bt-800, believe me it works smoothly with the 6630 or for that matter any nokia bluetooth phone. so i suggest that u give away your bt headset and buy a jabra or maybe even a sony ericsson headset which i have heard is preety good and quite cheap too. nokia is fairly new as far as blutooth headsets are concenrned, therefore let me confirm that its not only you but most hs-4w users who are experiencing this sort of a problem of loss of connection and i don't know if u have noticed but the loudness of voice too is not loud enough to be heard in adequately noisy street. so i hope this solves ur problems.
my recomendation is jabra bt-800(its quite expensive but worth it with a called id, vibration a snugg fitting). :icon14:
take care, cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😃
