2 replies · 3,260 views · Started 12 March 2005

Hi all,

Just bought the phone here in the uk a day back

Tried to update the my P910i firmware.. went to the site entered the CDA CDA162006/5.. clicked thru the options provided did what was necessary, and it all started well.. all is going well so I thought but it was not meant to be 

Second stage was up to 48% and it just got stuck there waited for a few min nothing happened a dialog popped up saying its not able to connect and asking me to check the bateryies and replace the cover and put it back in the station .. did that ..
But it just didnt happen it stopped updating and said unable to connect to the device and stoped ..

Started it all over again .. again .. again .. and again .. un-install the whole update service app and did it again still no luck decided to investigate and had a browse thru the java console and the application log that it generated

Here is the error part and the full log file attached

Hi all,

All is well now,

Not much was done by me apart from using another system to perform the update.

When the progress bar stopped for a while at 53% my heart beat was going duk duk duk .. but all went well and finally managed to get the firmware updated.

The system which I used yesterday was win XP with sp2 and the new machine ran win2k.

Thanks for you help

Cheers,
Parthi

Antivirus and firewall programs have been known to interfere with the update process.

Glad to hear it worked.
