Problem with my NGage.

My NGage stopped loading up last night. Essentially I press the power key, I get a white screen with Nokia, then a plain white screen, then the screen dims and displays Nokia again and then the phone just switches off. It never even reaches the password screen.

* Havent installed any new software or done any major file movements for six months. Just phone calls, text messages, and listening the radio lately.
* Tried the boot up in safe mode, tried removing the MMC, tried with another NGage battery, nothing has worked.

Im somehow hoping there is a way I can save my notes/calendar contents having an awful lot of personally important stuff in there, though Im realistic enough not to expect it. The retailer I bought it from (nine months ago) has stopped selling phones so all I can get is a refund.

Anyone? Thanks!

Your nearest authorized Nokia service center can, at least, attempt to flash it with the latest firmware release in case it helps to get it back up & running (if not, they should also be able to repair it, if the problem is repairable). Reflashing won't save your data, though. With your next phone (or if this one gets fixed), make backups (with, e.g., the Nokia PC Suite software, if your next phone is also a Nokia phone). On the N-Gage and other Series 60 phones you can also make a backup to a memory card using the built-in "Memory" app.
