Email syncing on the 6680

Hi,

Does anyone know for sure if the 6680 is going to be the same as the 6630 in terms of syncing with outlook email?

Unless I'm missing something it's impossible right?

I would love for someone to reply saying something like:

"Actually you should download this app XXXX it syncs your 6630 with outlook so you can take your unread mails with you on the move. You can put all your opened pop3 emails from your phone onto your PC and you can sync keeping the option of not deleting from the PC inbox.. its that easy "

Go on someone tell me it's that easy and I've been missing the obvious..

Please...

You can download messages to your phone from Exchange servers directly, if your Exchance server administrators allow POP3 or IMAP4 access to Exchange (that's a built-in feature of the Exchance server product). Using SSL makes it more secure. Using VPN makes it even more so.

Doing it locally with Outlook doesn't work (the phone doesn't support email synch with PC Suite and I don't know of any other local sync apps that'd be any better in this respect).

Thanks for the response. As I feared, no local syncing. It's a real shame. If we could do that then instead of being a good phone, it'd be a great one.
Come on Nokia please give us locak syncing...

Local synch doesn't produce traffic on the operator's network; same goes for accessing the internet through a pc connected via cable or bluetooth; same goes for sending a midi file via bluetooth.
Nokia bow to operators not to end users! So these things are not available in new Nokia phones.
And this makes sense as it appears that the destiny of phone makers is in the hands of the operators.
BTW it isn't only Nokia; look at SonyEricsson: their second 3G phone (V800) has been sold exclusively branded by Vodafone; they thought it was so important to please Vodafone with an exclusive deal... and they had only another UMTS phone available on the market!
