P800 IR port

Does anyone know if the P800 IR port is a standard strength or a long-range model? i.e. Will it be able to be used as a TV remote control?

If so will the appropriate software also be available?

only thing i know about IR is that its the fast version, dunno if its long, but there is an app for the use of it as a remote control. Posted somewhere here, you can check out the White Paper or the User's manual for more info
