IF HELPS I HAVE NOKIA 6630 with smart movie player...
whats the video size settings for avi to play in smart movie player
Do a search here for Virtual dub settings/profile. Its for series 60 screens.
After downloading and loading it up in Virtual dub increase the quality of the video. I dont know whats ideal but it'll work on the 6630 and its amazing quality for a phone! No compression just the low resolution due to the phone screen.
😊
Here they are:

Remember to increase bitrate for the video.
If anyone else knows better please say so because i only have messed about.
Hi, many thanx for replying, i dont quite understand what you mean, do i have to do a search for virtual dub settings on google, or are they in my phone? sorry but am new to this and all i want is for my dvd copys to play on the smart movie player which have been converted to play but still getting the error message file is to big or screen size is to big, many thanx and a link to any of the tools would be fantastic...
Mate, have a quick search of the forum and Google. This question has been asked and answered umpteen times before, and all the info you could possibly need is easily available.
Or to put it another way, I'm too much of a lazy cunt to type it all out again here 😉
I use SmartMovie player which can be downloaded at Handango. The majority of the converters that I found including SmartMovie did not provide a picture to my satisfaction. At least not until I stumbled across Movavi ConvertMovie. Its very simple to use and requires minimal adjustments. Here are the adjustments I use
In the main window set the output format to AVI (Divx, Xvid, etc)
In the setting window change the following
Uncheck the Video same as input box.
Make sure the Link of width and height box is checked.
Change the width of 320 if neccessary
Change video codec to DivX 6.1.1 Codec (1 Logical CPU), 320 x 240, 20 Frames per second. (You may need to download this Codec)
Change the audio stream to mp3.
Change to options to 128 if you wish
Leave the frequency set at 44100
These settings will give you about 2.5 hours on a 1GB RS-MMC card.
I have a Nokia 6682 and SmartMovie player with Movavis converter works like a charm! My picture is bright and crisp with no lag or jitter whatsoever. Its like a mini DVD player on my phone! Both of these programs are shareware so you have nothing to lose.
For SmartMovie, go to www.handango.com and search for SmartMovie for your phone.
For the converter go to www.movavi.com . Good luck!
