Hi

I am getting a strange problem on my 6600.Firstly i couldnt send any text messages if i choose memomy card as memory for my messages but works fine with my phone memory and secondly When ever i switch on my mobile it gives me message that there r 5 new messages but when i get in the inbox there r no messages. When ever a new message comes the message counter return back to nomal and when i delete that message everything returns to normal. But normal status is only till i restart my mobile .So after every restart i got my fake 5 message back. Please see if anybody can help me .

thanks in advance

What a coinsidence! The most recent post and it's the same problem I was going to ask about!

Everytime I try to compose a new text message or try replying to an existing one, it just goes back to the main screen or the message, if I switch it to use memory instead of MMC it seems ok, any suggestions short of formatting the card? there are no SIM messages either. Thanks.

Hi
I figure out how to solve the problem.Steps i followed are as :
1.i selected my phone memory as memory for sms
2.When it asks to copy all the sms select no.
3.Restart ur phone
4.open any file manager like fexplorer and delete the e:\system\mail
5.again restart ur phone
6.select ur memory card as memory for ur sms.
7.Its done

Although this procedure will deletes all ur sms but atleast it i can send sms .Basically what happened was the bookkeeping system of symbian got corrupted which is stored in mail folder but when i deleted it it makes a new bookkeeping storage.

Thanks for the info, fortuantly I didn't need to take it to that extent. I just deleted a few of the most recent messages (inbox and sent) and it seems to have sorted itself out, for now anyway..
