I've install Mobipocket reader 4.8 built 435. It can't regconise Chinese text correctly (rectangular boxes). The chinese ebook was made with Mobipocket Office Companion. Same result with Mobipocket Creator. But in the pc it read correctly using Mobipocket Reader PC. I've tried changing both font groups of Alp & latin.
BTW, is there a better ebook reader for S60 supporting chinese?

TTF fonts could be found and copied from your PC
But it wont work if you only install the fonts, you need localization program installed on your handset as well...such as Crystal Localisations
But they are going to charge you $40...
What the hell they think they are to charge that lump amount...
So you go to http://www.q9tech.com/gb/services/download/download.php3... they will charge you much less...if you use 9500, you get it free...
Mobipocket Reader is no good than ebook reader...it lackes the choice in library setting, you can not choose a particular folder for searching... and then it search all of your handset for any formats it supports... and ... and then the whole system dramatically slow down when you swich between documents (probably they don't know who they are as well)...
mobipocket supports unicode encoding only... with ebook, you have another choice...with a correct version, you can choose encoding in GB2312, Big5 and unicode as well...

Agree to your poingts that Mobipocket reader is not a good reader.

This software can read Chinese text. The navigation & bookmark features are excellent. Browsing files & folder like FileExplorer. Bookmark can even be applied to text file. With fullscreen display & autoscroll. Many other practical features..... I'm very happy with this reader so far.
