I don't want to waste room here, but I couldn't find the info I'm looking for in the archives, though very (seems so) simple;
Anybody knows how I get audio notification when I receive an e-mail on my 9500?
I searched the device for ringtones in Messaging but unsuccessfully...

True, but it would be nice to have the email "pulled" to the phone at a regular interval, like every hour. I used to do this with Active Mail on the 9290, but I take it that program isn't compatible with the 9500.
You have both Automail and MailX for that purpose. The latter even lets you use customised ring tones to notify you of new mail.
Check the news section of this forum for more info on those two programs.
