Very interesting thing that according to the NOKIAUSA.COM web site US version of 9300 will have WLAN!!!
UNBELIVABLE!!!

Power Management
Standard Li-ion Battery 970 mAh
-- Digital Talk Time up to 7 hours*
-- Digital Standby Time up to 8 days*
-- Digital Standby time: Up to 8 days (WLAN off)
-- Digital Standby time: Up to 6 days (WLAN idle)
BUT on the down side NOKIAUSA.COM it will ship with the same bands (900/1800/1900 MHz) as the European version.
COME ON NOKIA USA. WE NEED GSM 850 VERSIONS HERE IN CALIFORNIA!!!
DONT YOU KNOW ABOUT IT? YOU START FRIKING ME OUT WITH CALIMS LIKE THAT.
OR THIS IS JUST YET ANOTHER MISSINFORMATION ON YOUR WEB SITE?

That would be awesome, but I seriously doubt it. Apart from the mention of WLAN in the battery life, there is no word about it anywhere else. In contrast, the 9500 documentation mentions WLAN prominently (e.g. first on the list of key features). Moreover, there is no mention of WLAN for the 9300 on the FCC site.

I think I agree with you that WLAN is a mistake. The only good thing about is that it gives me a hope that support of GSM 900 instead of GSM 850 for US is a BIG MISTAKE.
I'm pretty sure it's a mistake, they just copied the 9500's "Power Management and couldn't be bothered to remove the last 2 lines. 🙄

This sounds like a good explanation, but why numbers are different?
This does not look like just copy and past to me.

and also EGSM (EDGE) does not exist in US on 900 band.
Why would you advertise it as high speed device when not a single network in US can work with it???
