.awb files as mp3? Playlist option missing : /

hey guys, I downloaded Nokia Multimedia converter 2.0 and converted few MP3 songs to .awb files..Stored them on RS MMC.. and now i can only open 1 .awb at a time.. How can i play all of them in a play list using Real One? Also, every .awb file has a speaker sign/icon whereas MP3 files have Music Note sign?? Does this mean .awb can only be used as Ring Tones?

Phone: Nokia 6630
Firmware:V 2.39.129 27-10-04 RM-1

Mate, have a look at my reply to your question here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/35221/

Basically, you don't want to be using AMR for ringtones, let alone listening to music.

If you want to make smaller files, convert them to .ogg and use OggPlay.

You don't need playlists with OggPlay, as it reads album and track info from the file (assuming it's been inserted). If you must use playlist files, the latest version (1.6.4) supports them: http://sourceforge.net/projects/symbianoggplay

thanks 😊

Easy CD-DA Extractor or GoldWave

fannypad wrote:Either of those two will do the trick. I use dBpoweramp ( http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm ) as it puts an extension to the right-click menu in Explorer, making converting files a two-click affair.

Just so you know Oggplay also supports mp3.

I know mate, I've been using it to play mp3's since the first version that supported it 😉

I convert mp3's to Ogg for use on the phone as it creates files half the size without noticeably reducing quality.
