How to make .awb and .amr ringing tones to actually work

Hi everybody,

Ihave this problem with N6600 - none of my ringing tones seem to work. I made them using Nokia media converter. The problem is that when I chose ringing tone for contact or contac group, it does sound (i.e. preview), but when someone actually calls, phone rings default tone. I have tried both .awb and .amr file types to no success. Strange though, that preinstalled .awb and .amr tones work just fine. I winder, if the problem is in file size or bitrate restrictions in the phone (I chose highest rates when converting) or something else?

Thanks in advance

nah nothing like that.whatever file you want to use for a ringtone (message and alarm tones too) just save it in the sounds folder on your phone memory and then go back to profiles and choose the ringtone file.

but make sure the sound is on the phone memory when selecting it.
