P910i system crash

3 replies · 2,801 views · Started 19 March 2005

I have a P910i on the UK Orange network.I've owned the phone since janaury 05 however every two/three weeks the phones software crash's giving me a "white out" screen and varrying reason codes dependant on the last application used. This usually coincides with the battery draining faster than normal. As a result every two/three weeks when this happens I have to undertake a hard reset.Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their P910i?

Being unfamiliar with the symbian operating system could you tell me what "SMan" does. I have checked the system applications on my phone and cannot find this.

I was having a similar problem and discovered the issue was related to a corrupt disk. I believe it was D: (but don't quote me on this). I made a full backup and then did a master reset and formatted the drives.

Good luck.

BTW, SMan is a 3rd party app that allows you greater control over your phone. It allows you to close (and not just put in background) applications, browse system files, etc... Google SMan to find out more.

Cheers!
