I have several phone numbers under one name, and i edit them using PC Suite. When I update my contacts folder to my phone, i get the names repeated. For example, one name is repeated 3 times, each name with a diff phone number. Why is this happening? How can i overcome that? In that case, i would have to edit all of my contacts using the phone, and the labels as well! and thats extremely annoying and time consuming. Any ideas?

and same goes when copying contacts from the sim card to phone, and vice versa.

I got this problem also. Sometimes if I need to restore contacts from backup, I get two contacts of the same name.

How? With Nokia 7610 or 6670? With what version of PC Suite?

That's normal. SIM card phonebook cannot hold multiple numbers with one item. That's why it is separated when you copy multiple-field contact to a SIM card.
