hi guys, i registered here in this forum becuz i have a problem with my nokia 6260 ...

Yesterday it only showed a white screen ... after some research here i went to nokia 6600 section and i formatted my phone ... (pressing the green button * and 3 at the same time while restarting the phone)

After this my phone still showed the white screen and when i try to reformat again, it doesnt work anymore pressing the same buttons like i mentionned above

I honestly dont know what to do anymore ... has someone of you the golden tip to resolve this problem? And is it normal that my phone all of a sudden breaks out in misery after less than two months?

cheers

It is not normal and a Nokia authorized repair center should be able to fix it (whatever it is).

I live in Belgium but i bought my phone in italy ...

here you dont have 'authorized nokia centers' (i think) so probably they are not interested to help me out since i didnt buy my phone in that particular store ...

Do you have some advice for me?

cheers!

Hi, I had similar problem with my 6260. On power up it would display a message "App. closed phone. Startup failed contact retailer" and was dead for all practical purposes. I tried a variation of the safe boot method, where I kept the "Green" key (call/accept key above the digit 1) pressed while powering up and - magic - it booted up properly and all functions were found to be working normally - except that the screen wall paper did not load up as it did earlier. I set a different wall paper and now even the wallpaper loads on power on

Maybe you can try this if it is not too late already.
