Screen scratched!!!

you ever done anything you wished you actually never did because it didnt really serve you anything??? happened to me brothers. i was about to sleep, had my 7650 beside my bed, then decided to have one last look. and then it happend - the phone slipped off my hand and almost fell from the bed (i tell u it's quite some altitude) but with lightning quickhands i was able to save it from falling. or so i thought... in my desire to save it from falling i accidently (almost) smashed the phone to the headboard (it was made of steel - lucky me) and there u have it - a very bad scratch upfront the screen! im telling u brahs, it's really ugly!

any ideas of curing it? im here in manila, any folks out there know if anybody's replacing the screen here??? or, are the NSC willing to do such repair?

thanks in anticipation!

Yes, you can request for a new cover been replaced off your old one. But there'll be a charge on the new casing. 😮ops: I'm not sure how much will it charge.

If 7650 was already official launch, then NSC should have spare to replace it, but you need to pay.

A replacement for the external case (including screen) should cost around 15$US...

Check at your NSC, I am curious too 😊

ei, brothers!!! thanks for all the tips, i'll see with what i can do with it. i really am beginning to hate it - everytime i read a mail or text or check out a new pic, i see the damn scratch!!! hope i can do something about it soon!

Any news? I need this info too, my screen is horribly scratched, makes it appear to have lots of dead pixels.

Maybe u could give a call down to your nearest NSC and do a query on this? I guess that they sould be able to provide you with the information that u need. 😉

ei, sorry, was out for a couple of days. holiday season here in manila. and yes i do have some news - well at least here in manila. there are several store here that deals with all sorts of nokia phones and yes i can have my screen replaced - plus actually the entire casing - i can even have it in black!!! imagine that. and if ever 7650i is true and there will be a black one - well i can have it in my phone right now. like i said that's just here in manila, i dunno if it works anywhere else. i will get this done tomorrow and hit you back with some feedback - if it looks good or not - the next day.

see ya'll soon brahs!!!

i got it!!! the store was not in anyway connected to nokia or the network, but they do replace 7650 casing. and yes, there was a black casing but it didnt look nice, i dont think it was an original so i just got the original one. what they will do is replace the entire front casing, which of course will include the screen. it was nice. price was quite high - $29.4 (converted it from pesos).

i think i saw in virramall, greenhills a replacement of the screen of 7650 2 months ago i think but i didnt know how much it cost, but u know here in the philippines, all price are very high! 😃

you betcha!!! but looking on the bright side at least the folks here can get something like this done here - for a price that is!

Wow,30 bucks is a lot for a cover. My screen is scratched too and the two uper edges are damaged (it fell, twice) but i'm hoping that NSC will replace the phone cause i got the Bluetooth system error and the battery fatigue problem.

hope that works for u, brah! anyway, it's just almost $25, and that's a conversion from Philippine Pesos. and yeah it's quite expensive but i guess it's worth it bec prior to my replacing the casing, i always squint everytime i look at my phone, now i dont, not anymore. :P
