BTREGISTRY.DAT of 6,20 Mb in c:\system\data

I have a file in my 6630 called btregistry.dat (6,20Mb) and my C: is full 😞

what is the file?

How to delete? (is in use)

Thanks

I think the details of known/paired Bluetooth devices are stored there. Over 6MB sounds enormous (a few KB to maybe 10-20KB should be normal for that type of info).

How many paired Bluetooth devices are listed on your phone? Can you remove all of them, turn off Bluetooth and restart the phone? Any impact?

Any specific apps that use Bluetooth for something that you have installed on your phone (including those of the malicious sort la Cabir/Caribe et al)?

If nothing else, you could do a full reformat of the phone, which should clear the situation to normal, but maybe such drastic actions can be avoided.

Maybe its just a bug, that can occur very occasionally.

Download a process manager like AppMan, and kill system processes that start with BT... and then WITHOUT restarting, try deleting the file...
