3GP audio quality... can it be more than 12.2?

Hi,

I'm trying to convert a set of MPEG video files for viewing on Series 60 devices, especially the N-gage.

I've tried several converters but they all seem to have a limit of 12.2 kbps for the audio quality using AMR for audio. I tried WB AMR but that doesn't work on the N-gage.

Is there any way to get better sound quality while still making it N-gage compatible, or is this as good as it gets as far as 3GP goes?

I know there are things like Smartmovie which use formats other than 3GP, but they require people to install player applications on their device.

I wanted to be able to have files that people could play straight away without having to install anything.

Can anyone help...?
