Windows XP IR

Is there anyone who succeeded to synchronise nokia 9210 with windows XP Professional through IR, I don't know if this is possible or not, do I need any drivers or something? please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

I seem to have the same problem with my home PC (not office one surprisingly). That is I had decided to upgrade my home PC to Win XP Pro over the holidays, (that's the problem with holidays, you get so bored that you start screwing around with things at home) and my 9210 no longer speaks to the PC.

I have the same PC at the office, and I installed Win XP Pro there. They eventually spoke with each other after some fiddling, but it has not worked at home yet. The only difference I can see is that in the office I have an Extended Systems external Irda whilst at home it is an IRmate.

Any ideas anyone ?

I tried the links you sent me but they are all for windows 2000 and i'm using windows XP, I downloaded the file you told me but it doesn't work on windows xp. Any new suggestions pleaaaaaasse !!

....This update makes the IrCOMM support identical to Windows XP....

says microsoft... then i dont know..

JeP

but I already have windows XP. Do you know anyone else that have the same problem or is it just me? maybe they solved it.

I'm also having real trouble getting my Nokia to communicate with my XP pro machine using PC suite. The fax modem works OK with XP, and I've managed to use IR with my old win98 machine first time.

I've tried all com port combinations & installing the supplier IR drivers with PC suite.

Yes, if anyone can offer anay solutions I would be most grateful!
