Apologies for another 3-Lib link(!), but Series 60 smartphone owners might like to read my walk through of how to use S60 Notes as a PC-compatible word processor.
The poor man's word processor, built into Series 60
I can almost see Steve falling in love with Series 60 from here! 😊

I'm not sure about love, but I'm certainly getting more used to it. Given the choice I'd still go for Series 80, of course. But I'm trying to live with a S60 device (the Sendo X, of course, with proper stereo, infrared port, SD slot, etc etc.) as my main machine for a month, as an experiment.
Things I still hate about S60: the stunted and badly designed Calendar app (though I just saw the news about Papyrus - wonder whether it uses the built-in Calendar database?) and the simplistic Tasks app. And the fact that 95% of S60 phones can't do half the things I rave about on the X, which just confuses my readers...!

Papyrus still has a lot to go compared to more mature app called Aquacalendar. I use AC on a daily basis on my Sendo-X and I must say it's a goddamn good piece of software. For example, the To-Do list is a lot better than the built in Task. In AC, completed To-Do lists can be striked out which is simply superb! And the ability to personalise it is also marvellous. You can put different colours, different pictures as background etc... etc...
Papyrus still missing To-Do view in the calendar and it is also not very stable and the interface mimicks a lot like MS Windowz Smartphone!
And yes, Papyrus and Aquacalendar uses built-in calendar and task database so they sync with your PC as well 😉
Cheers!
