Hi,

I just bought a Nokia 6670 and it looks good with quite a lot of features. I am from Bangalore, India.

I need your thoughts, feedback and inputs from some of you experienced users as to what tyhe best applications, that i can install. How can keep the phone from infecting viruses while i go online Via GPRS and how best can i make use of the blutetooth compatibility and nything else that can really add value using this phone.

I am willing to experiment and explore the possibilities as I want to be a power user as I am with web.

Thank you for yoru valuable time.

Cheers

The mobile phone viruses you can totally avoid by simply not accepting Bluetooth connections from unknown people and not installing any software that are sent to you - over Bluetooth or any other means - without you having explicitely requested it, and when you request/get software, get it from reputable sources (stores/sites).

What is the "best" software is very subjective and depends on what you want to do with it & where in the world you are. However, the first "power user" application to get is FExplorer (http://www.gosymbian.com/). But before you know what you are doing, do not delete any files, except your own pictures or sound files, for example.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. I am Bangalore, India.
I am also getting my GPRS activated from my network. It should happen in a day or two.

Regarding the anti-viruses you mentioned, do you suggest any anti-virus software for my cell phone which can keep my cell phone safe ?? I checked one from f-secure, but it is paid and not sure, how good it is... Any inputs on this is greatly appreciated.

Also, Regarding the browser, I have netFront inbuilt into it. Do you suggest FExplorer is much better anyday compared to netFront ??

I am figuring out the option yet. I am also considering to buy a bluetooth adaptor....do you have any suggestions for me ont his ??

Anything you'd like to share with me is highly appreciated !

Thank you

NetFront is a web browser. FExplorer is a local file manager.

You don't need F-Secure or any other antivirus apps, if you only install applications from reputable locations, instead of pirated, cracked software, or instead of accepting and installing unsolicited programs from unknown people over Bluetooth (or known people whose phones have been infected, because they didn't know any better).

Hi,

There is a default file manager under tools section. is that any Good ??
Or FExplorer is much better version of the available default one.

Thanks
