I've got my 9500 for a few days now, it has completely crashed twice and, with help from this forum but not from the technical support centres, I now know how to handle it. But can anybody tell me what should be my reaction to Note: Unspecified error that keeps coming up a bit before the next crash. Is it possible to correct these? And how do I find out what my firmware is? It is a pity if the instrument is that unstable, because since the demise of Psion there is nothing that quite suits me...

Find firmware version by going to the Desk, Tools, Control Panel, Extras, About Product and scroll to the bottom. My 9300 has the latest which is 4.53(0)
I've had numerous crashes but nothing that has caused me any problems - that's just software and computers for you.
I have also encountered this problem.

Goes away after a reboot but comes back again.
