RAS connection to a Win98 PC

I'm trying to set up a RAS connection to my Win98 pc at home using a direct cable connection. I am successfull in connecting to the pc and logging in to the dial-up server. I get a message from the dial-up server saying "user xxxx connected since xxxx". The problem is that I can not transfer any information. I don't get anything back from the pc.

Any suggestions?

You could try getting a copy of PsiLoc's Extened Internet which does all the 9210 stuff for you. You can then either use RAS on the PC, or download [url=http://www.mochasoft.dk]MochasoftPPP[url].

It's what I use!

I don't think the problem is on the 9210 side, since I can connect to the Win2000 RAS system at work.

I have an idea that the problem is on the pc side. I will have a look at Mocha again. I have not used this before because of the following statement in the readme file.

Computers on the Internet cannot see the PalmPilot, as it uses the same IP address as the PC running Mocha W32 PPP. Therefore an application as FTP will not work.

Simply put, bollocks. I've used Mocha PPP with S5, S5mx, Revo, 9210 and other laptops. I wouldn't worry about it - just give it a go. It does work, and has done for years.
