Nokia 7610 software version

Hi,

I have the nokia 7610..I checked the software version on it and it's

V 4.0421.4ch
22-05-04
RH-51

Is this the latest version and is there anyway for me to upgrade it??

My Nokia Service Center said latest firmware they had was 4.0437.4, anyone know what changes has been made from that to the 4.0441.0, is it worth waiting for if they still hasn't got it? Going there friday otherwise.

Heard that there is V4.0445.0 C2 version already release somewhere in the world. You can ask the ppl at ur Service Centre. May not be available.

Just for latest info update.

Some differences observed between two version. Hope this may help u.

1. All the navigation keys (left, right, up, down keys) can be programmed for shortcut aside from the left right keys.
2. Quality of shots from camera is better.
3. Positioning Icon was relocated to the TOOLS Folder.
4. Opening of MENU is faster now.
5. When playing AMR files is now continous, no cut...
6. Wav files can be used as a ringtone or message alert tone.

you have mentioned a difference when it comes to camera shots.. can you post comparison pictures before you upgraded your version and after you upgraded your software version. thanx 😊

Where would I check which software version I have? Is there even a point in checking considering getting help for this thing in Canada is virtually impossible?

Anyone know if it is possible to get firmware updates in canada? The nokia people here are wankers and keep telling me to go out and buy one of the (shitty) phones that are available from carriers here to recieve support.

I suppose these are the changes/improvements of 4.0437 over the previous ones! Has got nothing to do with 4.0441
