Lonely Cat Games certainly think so, and their alternative Email Client, ProfiMail, runs on the three main Symbian OS platforms (S60, S80 and UIQ). Ewan's reviewed ProfiMail to find out just why it's an important addition to the always connected Road warrior.
Time For Another Email Application On Your Phone?
I use ProfiMail on my UIQ phone (P910) and have for some months.
It is very useful when travelling across the country (USA) because I can quickly pick-up and answer e-mails between connecting flights without having to find a W-Fi zone and boot up my laptop.
It is a great program that has had consistent upgrades to its overall performance.
I especially like the fact that if there is an update to the program, it is automatically downloaded and installed - very first rate.
Now my clients want to know what I use.
I have Profimail and ProfiExpolorer installed and they work great. If I had any kind of upgrade--it would be nice to see bigger type if they could do it. Wonderful program and explorer is the first program that I can actually find all my programs. Great programs and Lonly Cat Games has wonderful after the sale service.
Thanks,
Bobbyr

yup! agree it's a nice apps...but it's not compatitbale with 6680.
It won;t work as Sereis 60 version 3 (whihc the 6680 has I believe) will need the app to be recompiled. Drop an email to Lonely Cat and ask them if they can help you.
The 6680 is based on "Series 60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2", not "Series 60 3rd Edition" (version 3). There are no "3rd Edition" devices yet (for sale or even announced by any manufacturer).
Which jsut shows how confused the S60 market place - still, I'd drop an email asjking when it will work!
