does the qd play mp3

The original N-Gage does, the N-Gage QD lacks stereo output and built-in MP3 support (if my memory serves me right). You can get MP3 players for it, but the output will be mono.

NO NO NO don't use Readm
It's pointless and mp3s' for Qd smell they sound horrid since there made to be played in stereo
You should get the Oggplay thing i use it u get a audio converter called cheetah and convert ur mp3's from mp3 to ogg with the correc bit rate and in mono and the ogg files are like 300 kbs a song wicth meens u can fit 10 times more in. I fell in love with it use it NOWWW 😃

No matter what software you download it'll sound a bit crappy, but if like me and can put up with it then I'd have to agree with jstubbs9, Oggplay is the best music player I've used so far - miles better than UltraMP3 imo. The only pain is having to convert existing MP3's to Ogg - not too difficult using programs like FreeRIP.
