The 7210 has 4 channels and 29 melodic and 14 percussive instruments.
7650 has 24 channels and 128 melodic and 47 percussive instruments.
Hope that answers your question

Yes Im sure, see this pdf document:

http://nds1.forum.nokia.com/nds/NDS_TVerification_Interface?path=%2Fdownload%2FMIDI%5Fin%5FNokia%5FPhones%5Fv1%5F0%2Epdf

very detailed info of different nokia phones midi capabilities.

Hmmm.. The polyphonic tones do sound good on my 7650 for sure, but they sound even better on my Samsung S100 which only has 16 channels..... Maybe that's cause the Samsung uses Yamaha, huh?

I do agree with you that Sumsung S100 has a better sound quality even it has only 16 channels. I am doubted that 7650 REALLY has 24 channel.

The Quality of the polyphonic ringtone does not only depend on the number of channels! It depends on the speaker and the MIDI chip of the Phone. Channels are quite irelevant!

You can try that out easily, so I cant imagine Nokia cheating about it :-?
And WHY would they lie about it then? 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮
(sorry for the smilies, but this question begs them 😊 oops..)

yeah but when i compare my 7210 and 7650,
the ringtone and speaker are much more better in the 7210 😞
