Transferring Contacts from 6600 to 6680?

Hi

Is there an easy way to transfer contacts froma 6600 to my new 6680? I have tried pc suite but this does not seem to work. Also, I cannot transfer the contacts.cdb file from the 6600.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Sync the 6600 with outlook the sync the 6800 or there should be an option within the phone to do this via the transfer option in the tools menu and it will do the contacts , calander and gallery.

does the 6680 not come with the 'transfer' software in 'tools'
6630 does, and it will transfer all your contacts for you, can't see why they have not included it on the 6680?

It is in Tools, on N6680.

Hi

Managed to do it with Outlook. Did not see the Tools option - was assuming that PC suite would work for me.

with one of the two following solution you will manage it!
1. solution:
- bluetooth on on both phones
- open application /system/transfer on 6680
- connect to 6600
(first time your connect the two phones the transfer application is sent by bluetooth automatically to your 6600. you get a signal from 6600. open inbox and install transfer application)
- as soon as your 6680 & 6600 are connected you can decide what you want to transfer or synchronize.
I could transfer everything: calendar, pictures, movies but not the contacts! try it anyway - maybe it works with your phone

2nd solution:
copy your contacts to your sim card or your memorycard on your 6600
- open contacts
- choose copy to simCard (Sim Verzeichnis in german)
check the screen if all contacts could be copied on your SIM Card. If not all contacts could be transfered, check the last contact in your contactlist and remember it*
- shut down 6600 and change the SimCard to your 6680
- open contacts on your 6680
- go to Sim Contacts-> SimMemory
- go to Options -> mark 'all contacts'
- go to Options -> copy to contacts

*if not all contact could be transfered empty the SimCard directory, put it back on your 6600, mark only the contact after the last contact you remembered on your contactlist, copy it to the SimCard and go on like in your first transfer

guys,
I tried this step to move contacts via SIM card but I got all the names are not fully completed with those who got more than one contact numbers.
Any body knows how to use 6600 contact structure with 6680 ?
or any thirda party program does this !!

Smartvcard will do it easily.
