WAV ringtones work fine with the 6680.
why would you want a wav file as ringtone when you can use ogg files
If you already have a WAV file you want to use as-is, without converting it first to another format and also without having to find and install a separate application to use this other format in the first place (as there is no built-in support).
So, why would you want an off file as ringtone when you already have a wav file and built-in wav support? 😉

its all about space.....kilobytes vs megabytes
So, in essence, you are saying that if you have [enough] free space already (remaining), then there is absolutely no real need to go through all the trouble and extra work of installing an ogg player and converting your stuff when you can effortlessly use a wav file as-is. 😊
Touche. 😊
