This thread is discussion about what quality of video we can acheive on these phones.
As we know 6630/6680/6681/6682 are pretty darn good for multimedia. Stereo sound and ability to add codecs like divx.
So far the best video quality i have found are playing 3ivx movies using smartmovie player. Unlike divx there is no problem playing at a full framerate. The only problem is that it does stutter in very fast action scenes like explosions with lots of heavy debris flying around(Ep III trailer explosions for example, rest of it is fine). Thats the best i have been able to do.
I used smartmovie creator. Select the normal 3ivx codec. Choose constant quality in advanced settings. Use landscape. Turn off reduce frames. No cropping.
If anyone has found better let me know. I would also like to know what are the best results acheived for 3gp and mp4?
Up to now, all video players (even the phones), only support 15fps maximum!
In order to get best and smooth playback, u need 26fps (most movies)!
And i highly doubt there is such software... i dont even think the hardware is capable of computing that fast! Heck most webcams for the PC run at 15fps too!
i doubt that what youre saying about the 15fps thing is true.The camera on the phone takes out pics at 15fps.We are talking about the VIDEO PLAYBACK recorded from an external source.The frame rate is much higher than 15 fps!!!

One key thing i shall mention is that do not go overboard on bitrate and make huge files out what is essentialy seconds of footage.
A clip that is 10 seconds long and is 8MB will run slowly. This is because of the data transfer on the phone/memory card.
Remember make sure the time/file size ratio is ok.
10 seconds off footage should always come in at below 1MB. Sure it can work fine at 1MB but the quality is unoticeable.
Another thing is that the 6680/81/82 will benefit in movies from the better screen.
bad news is i only have 14 seconds left on my trial. All my movies have the demo thing on too, lol.
smartmovie app doesn't seem to work on 6680.
it will take a firmware release for that probably majinken.
what about other programs ? does it run smoothly for you :icon2: ?
