Network browser available for Wifi?

Odd that you cannot have the Wifi resident in the background when not using the browser or email client.
Having said that is that possible, to have Wifi on passively, thus waiting to be used by any suitable application that maybe run?

With that in mind, will it be possible (or think someone will develop) a network neighbourhood style explorer, so that you can connect to other computers/ network shares, thus making it easy to grab file/ progs etc, withough having to use PC suite & a cable?

This would open up even more possibilities, like people creating a wide range of printer drivers etc, thus allowing you to print to whatever printer you wither have hanging off a computer, or shared on the network.

Afterall, you can explore the phone using nokia phone browser & drag'n'drop files. To do the same thing using Wifi will great!

Any Ideas?

This is not possible, probably because it would drain the battery quickly.

Probably someone will make a free application that can do that. Bitween is pretty good but you have to install some software on the pc and it should be possible to do it straight after installing the software on the 9500 so that you dont have to install software on the computers you want to access, ie at work
