What do I need to develop programmes for my SX1?

Dear All,
I hope my questions don't seem too daft, sorry if they are. I've just acquired a Siemens SX1 from my girlfriend and would like to write a few programmes for it (I can programme so learning Java2ME shouldn't be a problem). I've been searching the Internet for a few days now looking for beginners guides to programming Symbian devices etc. but I am still no nearer knowing what exactly I require to begin programming. Could somebody guide me in the right direction as regards utilities and SDKs etc. that I would require to write programmes in Java for this phone and some specific tutorials for Java2ME? Thanks very much in advance!

Best wishes,
Gareth.

P.S. The machine I would be writing them on uses WinXP (SP1), and I don't have access to Linux (although I would like to!).

The Series 60 1.2 SDK and suitable IDE (CodeWarrior or MS Visual C++ 6 or Borland) for C++ development. Corresponding MIDP 1.0 SDK would also do.

Even if it is a Siemens phone, start looking in http://forum.nokia.com/ for the tools.

Consider also books such as the Series 60 developer book here: htt://forum.nokia.com/books or those here http://www.symbian.com/books
