help me with my mmc card

i had get a 512 mmc card....but the problem is the free space i can use is only 490mb..... i head that we can format it and get more space to use....anyone noe how?

Try repartition it will be fixed.

i think it�s normal, you can�t have the 512mb of space... even in the 7610 original 64mb mmc card the available space is 62mb and not 64... it�s normal, don�t worry, and it�s only(!) 22mb of diference...

The cards are manufactured and sold describing absolute, unformatted capacity. When you format the card (create a file system on it), some of the space is taken up by information required to set up the volume label, directories (or folders, if you prefer to call them that), etc. The remaining space is what you get/see.
