$99 QD question

I was planning on getting the newly priced QD from EB Games when it comes out, but I have one question that, whenever I ask them, they seem to dodge.

Will it, instead of using the prepaid plan, let me put in my Cingular SIM card and use that calling plan?

Yes, unless EB is selling devices locked to a particular operator (but I doubt they would).

I have a N-gage QD and I love it. I bought mine through Cingular and it works fine. And, Cingular has excellent service. Also, not sure if you are using it only for gaming or not. I have a couple games but I use my more for a smartphone and PDA. I have for the most part replaced my Psion's with my QD. There are many many Symbian programs for it.

Thanks,
Bobby

You can pre-order yours online now at http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/256596.asp

I'd like to know if it comes unlocked/unbranded. If it does, then I would buy it, then sign up for t-mobile service with a 1 year contract. Get a free phone, the one that is selling for the most on ebay right now, and sell it without the SIM card. Put the SIM card in the Ngage and I'm good to go with money ahead.

It's is really easy to unlock a locked T-Mobile N-gage, I got mine on Wednesday and had it unlocked by Saturday. DCT4 calculator I found on the web. The first code I tried worked. Not that i'd go to any other carrier, but at least i know i can! 😊
