Hi everybody,
I have had the 9500 for at leat 4 months now (soft. 4.44(1)). More and more i get the same problem: when i open my 9500, the inside screen is blank (bright blank), i have to close it and open it again (sometimes up to 4 times) before i get the normal screen (desktop with all the icons). Can anybody tell me what is wrong with my phone? none of my friends with the same seems to have that problem.
Does anything happen when you press any of the buttons (Desk, Messaging, Contacts, etc)?
Nothing visible happen: the screen remain blank/bright white. But i know that theses buttons are working because, once i am able to open it and have the normal screen, i see the results of the last button i pressed while i could not see anything. i.e: if i open the phone and get a blank screen and i press "messages", then i close & open it until i am able to get the normal screen, i will be in the message application.
hmmmmmmmm, it sounds like a hardware problem, altho i'm not that experienced with communicators,
have you tried reformatting and seeing what happens then, just to check it's not a software problem?
I'd back up your phone, reformat, then see what it's like, if it's ok, then load everything back on, obviously if the screen starts playing up again, then it's a software problem. If reformatting it doesn't help, take it to a service centre, could be a loose connection or something
I get that too. Usually it goes away if you close up your cover again and open it a bit more slowly.
It's a HW problem and I've seen it on 5 diff communicators allready. I think the hinges get looser the more you use it so the display cable gets loose as well...
Dunno for sure, just an uneducated guess 😊
Thanks. At least i know i am not the only user to have that pb.
