I am facing a strange problem on my Nokia 9300.I have installed an application on the MMC card and sometimes the icon comes and sometimes it just vanishes The application is otherwise behaving normally . After rebooting it comes again so its behaving in a ad hoc way. I ran the application on 9500 the problem occurs on it as well. Any ideas where things are geting wrong
Could you tell which application it is? Others might have the same problem, but if you only make a general statement, it doesn't help anybody.

Your problem about the application of your 9300 is in connection to the way you use your phone. Any applications installed on your phone and stored on MMC will not be available or seem to disappear if: 1. You removed the battery cover of your phone. Remember that the sensor for the MMC is in the battery cover. 2. When you remove the MMC, all files installed on phone but stored on MMC will definitely disappear because the files are stored on the memory card. If among this two reasons the problem still exist, I advice you to go to your nearest Authorized Nokia Service Center. Hope I contributed a little solution to your problem.... 😉 chaio!

The ideea is that 9500 and i think also 9300 has one problem with the metalic holder of MMC.
Remove the batery cover, oull out the MMC and press firmly on top and in the midle of MMC Metalic holder untill you hear a click.
