A1000 joystick button falling off

what is the warrenty for the a1000 realy worth?

the joystick button fell off my a1000 , this happened 3 times just taking it out of my pocket, i sent it back to 3 under warrenty and now i am being asked to pay 55 for having a broken phone ... this realy is unfair... . I have been told that the button fell off due to "drop damage" however it is obvious from posts at the 3g forum page it is a common problem..... probably more common than loosing the stylus whch isn't supposed to be permanently attached to the phone. How they imagine that i dropped the phone and the only dammage to occur from this was for the glue to fall off from the joystick ???.. am realy unhappy... i want to take this further

how many others have had the same problem? i am thinking about taking this to watch dog.
I have tried to post on the 3g forum but all posts in the relating forums are being moderated so i am asking here how many people with the same problem

yours sincerely

I've got the same problem within one month from purchase of my a1000!

the joystick can't be permanently glued for the sake of repairment. When dissembling the a1000, the joystick must be taken off to remove the front cover (silver part). it is really a design problem right at the beginning. why dun they use trackpoint style joystick or the one from 7650 (which is very reliable).
