Name no longer displays when receiving text from one of the entries in phonebook! — Nokia 7610 and 6670

Hi. I wonder if anyone can help with this little prob.

My brother who has a Nokia 7610 like me, says that when his wife texts him, her name is no longer displayed. Instead only her phone number is shown.
I've asked whether he's got her name store in the phone book twice, as I think that can cause this problem, but he says he hasn't.
It's only affecting texts from his wife, and he's even tried deleting her from his contacts and the creating a new entry, but that still doesn't solve the problem.

Any ideas anyone please?

Ask your brother to check again. I have yet to see this problem being anything else than a duplicate contact (check the SIM contacts, too).

Deleting the problem contact and adding it back won't help, if there's another one that hasn't been deleted. However, if you delete the her again, and then have her call, if there is a duplicate contact left, then that name will be shown. Of course, if there are three, that won't be enough then either. 😊

Thanks for the reply. Got back to my brother and guess what....
...he did find a duplicate contact. Now what a surprise 🙄

So all is ok now, and the name once again is appearing.
